A Letter from the Front

Helene, a young noble lady has received terrible news from the front: her lover has been killed in combat.

As she's mourning at his grave, the familiar shadow of her now deceased lover appears and Helene follows it, with her lantern, careful not to snuff out the light that keeps the shadow alive.

Inspired by Pierre de Ronsard's "Sonnets pour Hélène".
